Future selves are kind of a big deal on Bullish. See here, here, here, here, here, here and many more.
At The Bullish Conference in New York (check out recaps and photos!), we took a few minutes to write letters and postcards to our future selves.
Observe, CAT YOGA postcards.
There were also cards with envelopes for those wanting to pen a more private message.
We collected these cards and letters with the promise that they’d be mailed out “sometime next year.”
About eight months later, sent them all out – all over the US, plus a few to Canada and the UK.
Take care of your future self! She wants resources and options. She wants you to push through.
If you wanted to write a letter to your future self (hint, hint) without attending a whole in-person conference to do it, you could try:
- Writing a paper letter and putting it in a sealed envelope with the date (then leaving it in your sock drawer, for example)
- Using the “schedule” or “send later” feature in Gmail or another email app to simply schedule email(s) to send out in 6 months, a year, or more.
I just looked up how far ahead you can schedule an email in Gmail, and the answer is, in fact, 49 years. Future self indeed.
Stay bullish!
